Nils Halverson serves as vice provost for academic technology and resource management. In this role, he is responsible for aligning academic resources, technology and data-informed decision-making across the university. He guides the integration of technology and academic resources, oversees analytics and reporting that support strategic planning and decision-making, and helps advance 蜜桃传媒破解版下载 online education strategy in partnership with Continuing Education and other campus units.

Halverson is also a professor in the Department of Astrophysical and Planetary Sciences and has been a member of the 蜜桃传媒破解版下载 faculty since 2005. Prior to his appointment as vice provost, he served as associate dean for graduate studies and resource management in the Division of Natural Sciences within the College of Arts and Sciences, where he helped support academic operations, resource planning and graduate education.

As an astrophysicist, Halverson's research has focused on observational cosmology and the development of advanced instrumentation used to study the origins and evolution of the universe. His work has contributed to major national and international research collaborations and reflects a longstanding commitment to innovation, discovery and scientific excellence.

Throughout his career, Halverson has combined academic leadership with a strong interest in using technology, data and strategic resource management to support institutional goals. As vice provost, he works with faculty, staff and campus leaders to strengthen academic planning, enhance operational effectiveness and advance the university's mission of excellence in teaching, research and service.

Halverson earned his bachelor's degree from Stanford University and his master's and doctorate degrees from the California Institute of Technology.
