Chu May Paing��published a monograph in Burmese titled "စာတံတိုင်းကိုကျော်လွန်၍" (Beyond the wall of words) by Independent Pinyai Yerba Press. The monograph contains almost 40 essays written under Chu's Burmese pen name "Ma Chinthe" on the social, cultural, and political issues impacting contemporary Myanmar. The book was launched on May 1 in Chiang Mai where Chu hosted a reading/discussion event and a zine making workshop with Burmese diasporic readers in Chiang Mai.
