Jota SamperÌýis assistant professor in the Program in Environmental Design.ÌýHis work atÌýÌýconcentrates on sustainable urban growth and dwells at the intersection between urban informality ("slums") and urban violent conflict. He obtained aÌýBachelor of ArtsÌýin architecture in UNal in Medellin, a master's in city planning from MIT and a PhDÌýon urban and regional planning, also fromÌý, where he was a lecturer for the past twoÌýyears. In 2010, hisÌýÌýwith estudio teddy cruz, exhibited at the MoMA.
Samper is a fellow of the “â€�, and advisor for the “Ìýfor theÌý. He is a co-founder ofÌý, a nonprofit dedicated to choreograph meaningful conversations,ÌýÌýandÌýÌýwith marginalized communities.
