Ben received a B.S. in Computer ScienceÌýwith a minor in Biology & GeneticsÌýfrom Clemson University. He is entering IQ Biology through the Department of Computer Science. Ben completed his first rotation with Ryan Layer in the Department of Computer Science. His second rotation was completed with Matt Olm in theÌýDepartment of Integrative Physiology. Ben completed his third rotation with Ed Chuong in the Department of Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology. For his team rotation, he worked with three other IQ students in Ed Chuong and Sammy Ramsey's labs in the departments of Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Ben joined the Layer lab in May 2025.
