Robert Latiff

Robert Latiff is an independent contractor and consultant, providing technology advice to corporations, universities, and the military. He is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Notre Dame. Ìý

Dr. Latiff retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Major General in 2006. His last active-duty military assignment was at the National Reconnaissance Office. He has commanded at multiple levels, including a tactical nuclear weapons unit, a large aircraft program office, and the NORAD/US Space Command Cheyenne Mountain Operations Center. Ìý

General Latiff was commissioned in the Army and served in Europe, where he was in the Infantry and then the Ordnance Corps. He transferred to the Air Force in 1980. He holds a doctorate in materials science from the University of Notre Dame. Ìý
Dr. Latiff is the author of Future War: Preparing for the New Global Battlefield and Future Peace: Technology, Aggression, and The Rush to War.
