Liane Shaffer

Liane joined Disability Services in June 2025 as a Student Testing coordinator, working the afternoon/evening shift.

As a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and Exercise Physiologist (CSU), her career has focused on eliminating obstacles for people with disabilities. Liane has designed programs including TRAC, 鈥淭ransition to Recreational Activities in the Community鈥 at Denver Parks and Recreation, and Volunteer Drivers in Boulder at Via Mobility. She has assisted patients 1:1 in medical centers in rehabilitation, substance recovery and mental health, and also worked with university students at The Ohio State University and Renee Crown Wellness Institute at CU. For the five years prior to CU, she learned the higher education administrative policy basics as an academic affairs coordinator at Naropa University, and CAO Assistant.

At work, Liane looks forward to learning from amazing coworkers, including students! Outside of work Liane will be gardening, or 鈥渆njoying鈥 doing home reno projects with family and her dog, Teddy (Teddy is the project supervisor).
