Bike Parking Rules
To keep campus safe, accessible and easy to navigate, follow these parking guidelines:
ÌýÌýBike Rack ImpoundsÌý
To keep parking spaces open (and to discourage theft), the CU Bike Program routinely tags apparently abandoned and/or vandalized bikes with a future-dated tag. When the date (two weeks in advance ofÌýthe date the tag was placed) passes:
- The bike is impounded.
- The bike is held for a minimum of 30Ìýdays before beingÌýdonated, refurbished for the annual bike sale or recycled as a last resort.
- The annual university bike sale offers students affordable, sustainable bikes ready to ride.Ìý

No stress—just remove the tag, and your bike won’t be taken. If your bike needs a little love, swing by a campus bike station for free repair service.Ìý

If you don’t see your bike on the t, it was likely stolen. Contact the bike program at bicycle@colorado.edu to double check.Ìý
