Joy is a PhD student in Materials Science and Engineering whose research focuses on developing and characterizing novel surfaces inspired by living lichens to create sustainable, passive biofiltration systems that improve indoor air quality. She holds a B.S. in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. Originally from Enugu, Nigeria, Joy brings curiosity and creativity to both her research and daily life.
