Fall 2025 graduation deadlines
Graduate students, mark your calendars for these approaching graduation deadlines for fall 2025
September
Sept. 3 (preferred deadline)
Master's students must submit to the Graduate School a鈥.鈥疉pplications follow a workflow process and must be approved by the academic department before they are directed to the Graduate School.
October
Oct. 1 (final deadline)
Master's students who have not already done so must submit to the Graduate School a鈥.鈥疉pplications follow a workflow process and must be approved by the academic department before they are directed to the Graduate School.
Oct. 1
Graduate students must鈥apply online to graduate鈥痶丑谤辞耻驳丑鈥痮n the 鈥渁pply for graduation鈥 card in order to鈥痟ave the degree awarded in December.鈥疶his is required even though there is no university-wide ceremony.鈥疨hD students must enter their dissertation title as part of the online graduation application; you may update the title through the portal until this date.鈥疶his title will appear鈥痮n your transcript after your degree is awarded.

Nov. 6
Doctoral鈥痵tudents must complete the PhD dissertation defense or final examination by this date.鈥疦otice of the examination must be provided to the Graduate School using the鈥doctoral final examination form鈥痶wo weeks before the exam.
Nov. 13
PhD students must鈥submit the dissertation鈥痺ith Thesis Approval Form to ProQuest by this deadline. The dissertation must be鈥痜or review and approval by Graduate School staff by the end of the business day. The鈥痵ingle-page鈥Thesis Approval Form鈥(TAF) must be uploaded as a supplemental file with the dissertation in order for the submission to be complete.鈥疭tudents whose dissertations鈥痑re received after this deadline, or those not submitted with the TAF,鈥痬ust apply to graduate at the following semester's鈥痗ommencement.

Master's students must complete the thesis defense or final examination by this date.鈥疦otice of the examination must be provided to the Graduate School using the鈥master's final examination form鈥痶wo weeks before the exam.鈥疌ertain units do not require an exam for non-thesis students.鈥疨lease contact your department with any questions.

Students in programs on Coursera:听Please note that 蜜桃传媒破解版下载 students completing degrees hosted on the Coursera platform听do not need to apply to graduate. Degree conferrals are processed automatically for students who have met the degree requirements for these programs. However, students are invited to attend graduation ceremonies on campus. Please visit your degree program's website for information on participating in graduation events.
