Below are some of the most common questions received by HR Ops, including what our team does—and does not—support. Knowing where to direct these kinds of questions will help take HR Ops out of the middle and put employees on the right path sooner.Ìý

General

The HR Ops team does not manage any part of the recruitment or hiring process. Here are some things to keep in mind.Ìý

  • The recruiting team needs time to process all applications and will contact you when they are ready. Please be patient.ÌýÌý
  • If it has been more than two weeks since the application was uploaded, send an email that includes the position title and number inquiring about status and next steps to recruiting@colorado.eduÌýÌý

CU-Boulder HR has two locations where you can complete the I-9:ÌýÌý

  1. The Administrative and Research Building (ARC) is staffed every workday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Ìý It is located at 3100 Marine St., 3rd Floor.Ìý Ìý

  1. There is also an office on main campus in the basement of the Regent Administrative Building, which is staffed Monday through Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.ÌýÌý
  2. You must present original, unexpired documentation from the Ìý

  3. You will need either 1 document from List A, or a combination of 2 documents, 1 from List B, along with 1 from List C. Federal regulations prevent us from accepting any copies, photos, or scans of document(s).

This is a great question! We do not have access to employee pay history. You will need to contact Employee Services at 303-860-4200 or email them at: employeeservices@cu.edu.

No. Federal regulations require you to present original documents in person to complete your I-9 form. You will need to have your parents mail you your documentation. The USPS is the trusted mail carrier of federal and state agencies.Ìý

To update your name, please complete the Legal Name Change form and provide either:Ìý

  • A receipt from the Social Security Administration confirming the name change, orÌý
  • A photo of your updated Social Security card showing your new name and only the last four digits (with the remaining digits blurred for security).Ìý

Employees must first notify their unit HR practitioner, who can review the situation and determine why payment was not issued. The unit HR practitioner can then submit a request to have the payment reissued, if necessary. If you are unsure about who your department’s HR person is, please contact your supervisor for that information.Ìý

The HR Operations team does not have any information on applicant status or tracking, and does not handle application materials. You will need to reach out to our Recruiting team with any updated materials, and they can assist with attaching these documents to your application.
