The Program in Jewish Studies and the University Libraries Special Collections and Archives, in conjunction with The Yesod Foundation, are pleased to announce a new undergraduate student employment opportunity in the Post-Holocaust American Judaism CollectionsÌý(PHAJ). The student employee will conduct copyright research and clarification for the Zalman M. Schachter-Shalomi audio cassettes and earn up to $3,000 over the course of the Spring 2018 semester.

The position requires 10-12 hours per week at $15 per hour over the Spring semester in the Post-Holocaust American Judaism Collections, housed in the University Libraries Archives. This position will be paid hourly.

The student employee will be expected to:

  • Identify and document the copyright holder on all items
  • Find contact information for the potential holders
  • Reach out to those potential holders for confirmation and appropriate credit information, which will include confirming licensing information or making the items only available on site

The successful candidate will be willing to conduct research using the physical materials and the audio files in the collections in addition to the internet or whatever other resource may be necessary.
