Background

Swenson received her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Colorado State University before earning her master’s degree in aerospace engineering from ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ. After that, she worked at companies like Lockheed Martin and ExoTerra Resource for nearly two decades as a mechanical test engineer, systems engineer and mission analyst for human spaceflight and CubeSat missions.

In 2023, Swenson joined the Western-ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ Engineering Partnership Program as a lecturer. This year, she is stepping into a new role as an assistant teaching professor in the program. Swenson has lived in Colorado for over 30 years and is excited to continue mentoring the next generation of mechanical and aerospace engineers.
