- ME Alumni Connect Day enjoyed another great turnout this year, with over 40 alumni and nearly 400 students participating. The event provides an opportunity for students to connect with alumni, build their network and gain insight into what it's like
- Katie Schutt is an undergraduate student in mechanical engineering. She interned with LifeFormations during summer 2022.
- Alexandr Vassilyev is an undergraduate student in Mechanical Engineering. He interned at Seagate Technology during summer 2022.
- Nolan Chinn, Helen Do, and Lana Pivarnik are undergraduate students in Mechanical Engineering. They interned with Titan DIY Kits during summer 2022.
- Kimberly Fung is an undergraduate student in mechanical engineering and a representative to the CU Student Government.
- Natalie Anderson is an undergraduate student in mechanical engineering. She interned with Ball Aerospace during summer 2022.
- Daniel Alzamora and Kendall Shepherd are undergraduate students in mechanical engineering. They interned with EveryDropMeters during summer 2022.
- A group of mechanical engineering students at the College of Engineering and Applied Science designed and built the prototype with Lockheed Martin for their Senior Design project.
- Ahmed Ashmaig (MechEngr'23), the president of ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ÆÆ½â°æÏÂÔØ's chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), has received the university's Ripple Award. The award is given by the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ÆÆ½â°æÏÂÔØ's Center for Inclusion and Social Change in collaboration with the Dennis Small Cultural Center.
- Students learn how solid and fluid mechanics play a role in how cancer cells interact and form solid tumors. Taught by Professor Maureen Lynch, the class examines the experimental systems and technical evaluations of the disease to model and test cancer-related processes.
