Kaila Hood is a second-year Urban Resilience and Sustainability specialist within the MENV program. Kaila grew up in Colorado, where she developed an early interest in climate and natural resources issues while spending time outdoors with her family. She subsequently double majored in environmental policy and public health policy at Brandeis University where she graduated magna cum laude. Kaila spent the last seven years working as a Senior Policy Advisor and Legislative Assistant for the U.S. House of Representatives, including for Representatives from Colorado, Oregon, and New Mexico, before returning home to pursue her graduate studies at the University of Colorado. Kaila intends to use her master's degree to further specialize in urban resilience and sustainable development at the state and local level. She looks forward to working with all of you!
