As an exchange student at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ, you will find a wide range of  available to you.Ìý Some exchange programs are specifically designed for a certain area of study, such as law or music. Most programs, particularly for undergraduates, are open within the college or school to which the student has been accepted. Exchange students are usually accepted into the College of Arts and Sciences, sometimes to the College of Engineering and Applied Science, the Program in Environmental Design, or the Leeds School of Business and Administration. Exchange students must be a declared Engineering or Business major to be eligible to take Engineering or Business classes.Ìý Students are not accepted to Music, Law, or Education unless the exchange program is specifically designed for law or music students.

If you are accepted to the College of Arts and Sciences, you will select courses from the catalog taught within that college. In some cases, if you have the appropriate academic background, you may also be able to take courses in other ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ schools and colleges.Ìý Due to course availability, upper division psychology courses are not available to incoming exchange students.

If you have been accepted to the College of Engineering and Applied Science or to the Leeds School of Business and Administration, you will select courses within that college plus you may select some courses within the College of Arts and Sciences. If you have the appropriate academic background, you may also be able to take courses in other ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ schools and colleges.

Not every course listed is offered every semester so when making your selection, check what .ÌýRegardless of what courses you select, you must meet the prerequisites for each course. Due to course availability, there is no guarantee that you will be able to enroll in all courses you list on your application.

Credit Requirements

All exchange students must be registered with a full-time course load at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ as follows:

• If taking only undergraduate courses (4999 and lower): Students must take a minimum 12 credits per semester (max 18 credits)
• If taking only graduate-level courses (5000 and higher): Students must take a minimum 5 credits per semester
• If admitted as a graduate student and taking a combination of undergraduate and graduate-level courses: Student must take a minimum of 8 credits per semester

Note: Check with your home university to see if they have a higher minimum enrollment requirement. If there is a difference in the minimum enrollment requirement, you must meet whichever minimum is higher.Ìý
