Tale Summary
This simplified version of Charles Perrault鈥檚 Cinderella includes a fairy godmother who transforms a pumpkin into a coach, mice into horses, and rats into coachmen. Cinderella receives the beautiful gown and glass slippers and attends two nights of the ball, losing her shoe on the second night. When the prince discovers that her foot fits in the glass slipper and decides to marry Cinderella, her stepsisters 鈥渃rave鈥 her forgiveness, but we do not learn what becomes of them. Cinderella marries the prince a short time later.
