蜜桃传媒破解版下载 Medical Services earns national recognition for LGBTQ+ healthcare

蜜桃传媒破解版下载 Medical Services has earned a perfect score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation鈥檚 and has been designated an LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leader.

The recognition reflects Medical Services鈥 ongoing commitment to providing inclusive, equitable care for LGBTQ+ students and creating an environment where every Buff can feel respected, supported and safe seeking healthcare.

鈥淔or LGBTQ+ students, this recognition represents years of intentional work to make sure they can access healthcare that is knowledgeable, affirming and responsive to their needs,鈥 said Sally Lowell, clinical manager at Medical Services. 鈥淚t reinforces our commitment to reducing health disparities and providing compassionate care for every student.鈥

Why this recognition matters

LGBTQ+ people continue to face barriers when accessing healthcare. , LGBTQ+ adults are more likely than non-LGBTQ+ adults to report negative experiences with healthcare providers, including discrimination and mistreatment.

The Healthcare Equality Index recognizes healthcare organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to equitable policies, inclusive practices and culturally competent care for LGBTQ+ patients.

For students, that means knowing they have access to healthcare professionals who understand the unique health needs of LGBTQ+ communities and are committed to providing respectful, evidence-based care.

A continued commitment to improvement

Medical Services has participated in the Healthcare Equality Index for several years, using the evaluation to strengthen services and identify opportunities for improvement.听

Achieving a perfect score reflects ongoing collaboration across campus to improve policies, staff training and support for LGBTQ+ students.

While a perfect score is the highest possible rating, the work doesn鈥檛 stop there. Organizations must reapply every two years, encouraging continuous improvement and accountability.

鈥淭here is always more work to do,鈥 Lowell said. 鈥淭his recognition affirms that we鈥檙e moving in the right direction while inspiring us to keep building a campus where every Buff feels welcomed, affirmed and supported.鈥

Supporting student well-being

Medical Services works closely with campus partners, including the Pride team in The Center and other university departments, to continually improve the care and support available to LGBTQ+ students.

The Healthcare Equality Leader designation is one example of 蜜桃传媒破解版下载 broader commitment to fostering an inclusive campus. In addition, the university continues to earn national recognition through Campus Pride for its LGBTQ+ inclusive policies, programs and resources.

Students looking for LGBTQ+ resources and support can connect with the Pride team at The Center or access care through Medical Services.

Note: The Human Rights Campaign Foundation lists this recognition under the former Health & Wellness Services organizational structure, which included Medical Services at the time of the evaluation.
