The holiday season is a time of year that often asks us to reflect on the meaning of our lives and invites us to change. If you are at a junction in your career, whether you are just entering the job market, interested in making a career change��or seeking meaningful work after retirement, Continuing Education may be able to help.

The Career Exploration Workshop features hands-on exercises and��discussions that��help you discover your career passions by identifying who you are through your interests, values, skills, strengths��and personality type. No matter where you are in your career, this class steers you in a��direction that will bring you satisfaction.

The course is taught by Dahlia Smith, a licensed clinical social worker with over 21 years of experience who counsels job seekers, students and career changers.

“I believe that people ultimately have the desire to make a fulfilling contribution during the course of their lives,” Smith��says. “What better way to do that than through a meaningful career?”

Workshop Details

The six-week course meets��every Thursday from Jan. 19 to Feb. 23��at��the Continuing Education building, conference��room 306,��located at 1505 University Avenue. Participants can choose from two sections:

• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The cost of the workshop is $250, which includes individual career advising sessions after the workshop ends.

The application deadline is Thursday, Jan. 12.
