ODECE invites faculty, staff to inclusive pedagogy workshops Feb. 26, 27
On Feb.听26听and 27, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Community Engagement (ODECE) is excited to welcome Ashley Finley, who will lead the first round of Inclusive Pedagogy Workshops for the 2018 spring semester.
Finley is the associate vice president for Academic Affairs and听dean of the Dominican experience at Dominican University of California,听as well as the national evaluator for the Bringing Theory to Practice (BTtoP) project. Her research and campus-based work focuses on connecting best practices for program implementation, assessment design and inclusive excellence with institutional goals and strategic planning.
鈥淒r. Finley will present three different workshops on topics specifically connected to in education, which is the theme connecting our Inclusive Pedagogy Workshops this year,鈥 said Alaina Beaver, initiatives director of social climate strategy in ODECE. 鈥淒r. Finley鈥檚 work will provide ideas and resources that can be immediately applied to the classroom.鈥
ODECE's inclusive pedagogy series is part of the听Boulder campus's efforts related to making excellence inclusive. Inclusive Pedagogy Workshops are intended to expose attendees to a wide variety of ideas and resources for making their materials, course design and learning experiences more inclusive and welcoming for all students.
