Neurodiversity trainings for supervisors launching Oct. 8
If you are a supervisor, join this series of trainings to celebrate minds of all kinds. The Neurodiversity in the Workplace trainings will highlight practical tools and knowledge for supervisors to better understand and support their neurodivergent employees.听
Not familiar with this term? Neurodiversity is a term used to acknowledge the natural differences in the brain function and behavioral traits among humans. Not sure if you have neurodiverse employees?听Odds are you do, with 15鈥20% of the world鈥檚 population identifying as neurodiverse.听
The four virtual sessions will underscore the importance of creating an inclusive and equitable workplace where everyone can thrive.鈥
The series is organized by the Alliance for Neurodiversity employee affinity group鈥攚hich aims to raise awareness, ensure compliance with employee workplace accommodations, build effective leadership skills and enhance productivity. The trainings will be facilitated by听 (Divergent Inclusive Representation Transforms) Coffee, a nonprofit social enterprise that 鈥渃reates innovation human-centered workspaces and programs that promote disability justice and economic equity.鈥澨

The virtual series will kick off on Wednesday, Oct. 8, with the remainder of sessions held on Mondays. to learn practical ways to lead with inclusion and support neurodiverse talent!鈥 Registration is required.
Do you still need some convincing? Haruko Greeson attended the spring session and mentioned it "provided great insight into neurodiversity."听
"One of the most impactful activities was the 'Fold Your Paper' exercise, as this reinforced the importance of clear, collaborative communication between supervisors and staff," Greeson said. "Rather than simply 'assigning' tasks, it is crucial to work together in a way that fosters understanding and comfort."
