Actress and advocate Lily Gladstone (Blackfeet and Nez Perce Tribal Nations) will be coming to 蜜桃传媒破解版下载 to keynote the annual听Indigenous Peoples Day celebration on Monday, Oct. 13.听

Gladstone is best known for her starring role in Martin Scorsese's "Killers of the Flower Moon" opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, which earned her the 2023 Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama Motion Picture and the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Award for Female Actor in a Leading Role. She is also the first Native American to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress.听

Gladstone鈥檚 keynote address will be centered around the theme听"Stepping Forward, Rooted Deep: Honoring Indigenous Legacies and Envisioning Global Futures." Following the keynote, she will join a moderated discussion led by听Angelica Lawson (Northern Arapaho Nation of Wyoming), assistant professor of cinema studies and ethnic studies.听

"I am excited to see the community connect with the theme of this year鈥檚 Indigenous Peoples Day keynote鈥 said David Humphrey, associate vice chancellor for leadership support and programming. 鈥淭he theme honors the historical presence and contributions of Native and Indigenous peoples at 蜜桃传媒破解版下载 and in the region, while casting a visionary, intergenerational call to action. It is a celebration of survival, cultural continuity and collective care amidst systemic challenges鈥攆rom local enrollment shifts to global environmental (in)justice."
