Briggs and Welner of the School of Education have been elected to the esteemed National Academy of Education. They join a group of just 22 colleagues, nationally and internationally, who provide outstanding scholarship and leadership related to education and who were elected.

Ten graduate students participated in this year’s final competition for a chance at prize money and to represent ���Ҵ�ý�ƽ������ at the regional competition.

Roselinde Kaiser, a clinical psychologist and neuroscientist, is being recognized for her research on the science and treatment of adolescent depression.

Professor Adam Kaufman has been awarded the prestigious Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers. Kaufman is a JILA fellow, NIST physicist and ���Ҵ�ý�ƽ������ physics professor.

Shuo Sun, associate fellow at JILA and assistant professor in the Department of Physics, has been awarded an NSF CAREER Award for his research proposal, “Developing a High-Dimensional Photonic Quantum Register for the Quantum Internet.”

Joanne Kim, a ���Ҵ�ý�ƽ������ computer science student, was recognized by Congressman Joe Neguse with the Mollie H. Beattie Congressional Award for Distinguished Environmental Scholarship for a short film on food waste.

Travis Hunter claimed college football’s most coveted award, taking home the Heisman Trophy. He is the second Heisman winner in CU history, joining the late Rashaan Salaam, who won the award in 1994.
