  • Advice for incoming transfer student?ÌýThough it sounds cliché, the best advice I can give is to stay true to yourself. Being such a big school, everyone can find their fit. Put yourself out there and try new things, while still maintaining your individuality. Do not feel pressured to follow the crowd, but at the same time, push yourself. New opportunities are where the growth occurs and gives you the ability to make the best of your college experience.Ìý

  • What do you love about CU? CU's environment is one that has caused me to thrive. From my first day here, I felt like I could belong. It wasn't instant, nor was it guaranteed, but I knew that if I put in the work I would find my community here. Beyond that, if you look for it, Boulder provides countless opportunities for you to succeed and become the person you want to be. The person I've always envisioned myself as is the person I am here, and I cannot stress enough how important Boulder is for that personal transformation. Here I feel confident, supported, courageous, and like I belong.
  • Advice for incoming transfer student?ÌýDo something. Whatever it is, do it. You're going to hear a lot of advice either on this page, or from various events you go to that to enjoy your time here you should talk to professors, go to clubs, join extracurricular, the works. This is true. My life at Boulder is, quite frankly, amazing. Not every transfer student has the experience I did, some are still trying to find their place. That's okay. You will find it, but it requires you to put yourself out there. To push past the inertia of daily college student life and actually get out there and do something. Join that club. Talk to your professors. Join a sports team. Go to bars on the weekend. Whatever it is, actually go out there and do it. If you do, your journey will be spectacular.Ìý
