Campus Operations & Resources Committee (CORC)

The Campus Operations & Resources Committee shall represent faculty concerns in key campus operational areasÌýthatÌýdoÌýnotÌýfallÌýunderÌýacademicÌýaffairs.ÌýTheÌýcommitteeÌýwillÌýprovideÌýfacultyÌýinputÌýonÌýrelevantÌýissuesÌýand projectsÌýwithÌýaÌýgoalÌýofÌýincreasingÌýcommunicationÌýandÌýrelationsÌýbetweenÌýfaculty and campusÌýoperations.ÌýThese areas include,ÌýbutÌýare not limited to, theÌýfollowing units:
- CampusÌýInfrastructure
- Communication/StrategicÌýRelations
- Enrollment Management
- FinanceÌý&ÌýBusinessÌýStrategy
- HealthÌý& WellnessÌýServices
- HumanÌýResources
- Information Technology
- OIEC/TitleÌýIX
- PublicÌýSafety
The committee will work with division leaders or their designees in the areas listed above. The committeeÌýchair willÌýcoordinateÌýwithÌýtheÌýSeniorÌýViceÌýChancellorÌýforÌýOperations,ÌýorÌýtheirÌýdesigneeÌýtoÌýdetermine the specific topics and projects that may benefit from input from faculty as campus employeesÌýandÌýstakeholders.ÌýTheÌýcommittee chairÌýwillÌýalsoÌýattendÌýtheÌýmonthlyÌýAVCÌýmeetingsÌýeitherÌýalong with theÌýBFA chairÌýorÌýas theÌýBFA representative when the BFA chair cannot attend.
The committeeÌýshallÌýconsistÌýofÌýeight electedÌýfacultyÌýmembers with a voteÌýperÌýBFA Bylaws guidelinesÌýas well as any additional faculty as deemed necessary by the committee chair for campus representation.The committee chair willÌýalso coordinate with divisional leaders who will be welcomedÌýand encouraged to attend meetings as it pertains to their area. Campus shared governance representativesÌýfromÌýCUSG,ÌýGPSG,ÌýandÌýStaffÌýCouncilÌýwillÌýalsoÌýhaveÌýnon-votingÌýseats.ÌýTheÌýcommitteeÌýshall meet at least four times a semester but will adjust the schedule and frequency based on topics/issues/projects that arise and require faculty attention.
FacultyÌýinputÌýtoÌýbeÌýprovidedÌýinÌýspecificÌýareas include:
- Campus Infrastructure –Ìýprovide inputÌýasÌýneeded for units under Infrastructure and ResilienceÌýforÌýprojectsandÌýissuesÌýthatÌýmayÌýimpactÌýfaculty.ÌýItemsÌýmightÌýincludeÌýtransportationÌýbetween eastÌýandÌýmainÌýcampus,parkingÌýpermits,ÌýbuildingÌýsafety,ÌýcampusÌýmasterÌýplans,Ìýsustainability,Ìýspace allocation, etc.
- Communication/StrategicÌýRelationsÌý–ÌýprovideÌýinputÌýonÌýcommunicationsÌýinitiativesÌýtoÌýensureÌýeffectiveengagementÌýonÌýcampusÌýissuesÌýwithÌýtheÌýBoulderÌýfacultyÌýsenate.ÌýThis mayÌýinclude coordination with BFA communication channels as well.
- EnrollmentÌýManagementÌý–ÌýprovideÌýinputÌýonÌýcampusÌýundergraduateÌýandÌýgraduateÌýstudent enrollmentÌýinitiatives, objectives,ÌýandÌýgoals as needed.
- FinanceÌý&ÌýBusinessÌýStrategyÌý–ÌýprovideÌýinputÌýonÌýfinanceÌýandÌýbusinessÌýstrategy;Ìýhowever,ÌýdueÌýtoÌýcrossover withÌýtheÌýBFAÌýBudgetÌý&ÌýPlanningÌýcommittee,ÌýCORCÌýwillÌýbeÌýutilizedÌýasÌýrequested.
- HealthÌý&ÌýWellnessÌýServicesÌý–ÌýcollaborateÌýwithÌýofficesÌýinÌýthisÌýunitÌýtoÌýexploreÌýcampusÌýprogramsÌýand initiatives regarding programs specific to the health & wellness of the faculty role in teaching and mentoring students.
- HumanÌýResourcesÌý–ÌýserveÌýasÌýaÌýresourceÌýtoÌýcampusÌýHRÌýtoÌýensureÌýthatÌýissuesÌýorÌýinitiativesÌý(atÌýaÌýcampus or system level) that impact faculty as employees receive early input and communication including via BFA channels as needed.
- Information Technology – provide input and communication guidance for IT projects/initiativesÌýthat impactÌýfacultyÌýasÌýemployees.ÌýAllÌýacademicÌýtechnologyÌýissuesÌýwillÌýbeÌýaddressedÌýwith the BFAÌýAcademicTechnologies Committee;Ìýhowever,ÌýtheÌýchairsÌýofÌýthese committeesÌýwillÌýworkÌýinÌýtandemÌýwithÌýIT leadershipÌýtoÌýreviewÌýissuesÌýasÌýneeded.
- OIEC/TitleÌýIXÌý–ÌýserveÌýasÌýaÌýresourceÌýtoÌýthisÌýofficeÌýforÌýitemsÌýinvolvingÌýfacultyÌýasÌýCUÌýemployees. ItemsÌýthat impactÌýfacultyÌýinÌýtheirÌýrolesÌýasÌýinstructors,Ìýmentors,ÌýorÌýresearchersÌýwillÌýbeÌýaddressedÌýby the appropriate BFA faculty, student, or academic affairs committee.
- PublicÌýSafetyÌý–ÌýserveÌýasÌýtheÌýdesignatedÌýfacultyÌýgovernanceÌýbodyÌýtoÌýcoordinateÌýandÌýprovide input on areas impacting faculty. Examples include building and lab safety after hours, classroom lockdown procedures, etc.
