Undergraduate Certificate Requirements:Ìý

  • All Applicants must be completing an undergraduate degree in any of the academic areas offered by ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ÆÆ½â°æÏÂÔØ.
  • Students must maintain a C average (2.0) or better in all courses that count towards the certificate.
  • Only 9 credits from students major or minor may be counted towards the certificate.
  • The undergraduate certificate requires a total of 6 courses (18 credits)Ìý

  • ETHN 1023 Introduction to Native American and Indigenous Studies
  • ENGL/ETHN 4717 Native American and Indigenous Studies Capstone Seminar.

Elective Courses:

  • Complete 4 elective courses from theÌýlist of approved courses below (12Ìýcredits)
  • At least two elective courses must be upperdivision (6 credits)

*Any Independent study must be undertaken with a CNAIS core faculty member and may be done when a student wishesÌýto pursue an individualized course of study not normally offered in the NAIS course offerings. Independent study is typically reserved for third- and fourth-year students.Ìý
