101st Annual WEAI Conference

The department, along with the Econ Club and WIE club, is sponsoring 10 undergraduate students to attend the , Monday, June 29, 2026Ìýto Friday, July 3, 2026 at the Denver Sheraton Downtown Hotel, 1550 Court Place Denver, CO. ÌýThe Western Economic Association International (WEAI) is hosting its 101st Annual Conference in Denver this year. This is a well-established professional economics conference that brings together faculty, researchers, graduate students, and undergraduates from across the country. Conferences like this are a great way to see how economics is used in real research and policy conversations. You can attend paper sessions, hear invited speakers, and get a feel for different subfields—from macro and public finance to labor, health, and environmental economics. If you’re considering graduate school, research, policy work, or just want exposure to the profession beyond the classroom, this can be valuable. We will cover registration, but not for lodging or local transportation (RTD preferred), so those costs would need to be covered individually. Students who are interested and able to attend should let us know
