A Note from Your Assistant Dean for Students
We care about youÌý— the whole of youÌý— and we care about your families and communities. There is a lot going on right now in our country and around the globe, and we know this impacts students in very different ways, especially at busy times like this in the semester. I’m reaching out on behalf of the college to remind you that we care about you and that we have many resources at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ to help support students when life feels overwhelming.
Ìý
It’s important that you prioritize your health and wellbeing, and we know Buffs support Buffs, so I encourage you to reach out to ask for help when needed. Keep in mind that while your academics are important, perfection is not the goal. We know it’s not always realistic to block out what’s happening in the world around us when we go to class, work on completing assignments, and prepare for exams. Reach out to your instructors or academic advisor to share what you’re going through and to explore whether we have flexibility with policies or semester deadlines (Spring 2026 Academic Calendar) that might be appropriate for your situation.
We have so many other resources available as well, including several listed below.
