The MA/PhD at 蜜桃传媒破解版下载

The MA

Masters students study a broad range of literatures, theories, and methodologies. They are encouraged to pursue interdisciplinary work that includes digital humanities, women and gender studies, critical theory, ethnic studies, history, philosophy and other fields. They also learn pedagogy skills, TA for professors, and attend pedagogy workshops. They can elect to pursue intensive research and writing with a thesis advisor and committee. Finally, they will find a supportive environment for next steps after the MA, whether that鈥檚 a PhD program, teaching with an M.A., or a non-academic job.听 We are a welcoming and inclusive program where cohort members find support through friendship, mentoring, and community.

The PhD

Beginning in Fall, 2026, the English Department will begin admitting PhD students, every other year, as a themed cohort.听 The theme of each cohort will rotate. The theme will be transhistorical and/or problem themed so that the cohort model will allow faculty to research and learn from one another across literary periods as well as to work with a group of students who share research interests in common.听 The theme for the 2026 cohort is 鈥淢edia Ecologies.鈥 We note that PhD students may be advised by any graduate teaching faculty member. The cohort model will supplement their advising by means of two team-taught courses per year and a bi-weekly 鈥渓ab鈥 that the faculty of the themed cohort will offer that will be a combination of writing intensive, research intensive, and professionalizing.听 The PhD program offers a guarantee of 5 years of funding that includes fellowships and teaching, with a high likelihood of an additional 2 years of funding.听听

"The support and care provided by 蜜桃传媒破解版下载's PhD program was nothing short of remarkable in its ability to transform all those who pass through the department: into scholars and critics dedicated to their fields; into talented educators dedicated to their students; into better people, dedicated to the world around them."
