New Faculty Orientation
The Office of Faculty Affairs welcomes all new ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ÆÆ½â°æÏÂÔØ tenure-track, teaching, and clinical faculty through its New Faculty Orientation (NFO) programming, held annually a week before the first day of the semester.

Thriving at CU Series
Thriving at CU is a monthly workshop series open to all and oriented for the needs and interests of tenure-track, teaching, and clinical faculty who are in their first three years at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ÆÆ½â°æÏÂÔØ. Participation in at least 8 Thriving at CU sessions over your first three years will earn you a faculty development certificate. Thriving at CU covers the following content areas:
Fall 2025:
- Aug. 15: New Faculty Orientation
- Sep. 17: Thriving in the First Year: What I Wish I Had Known (Individual sessions for Tenure-Track Faculty and Teaching Faculty)
- Oct. 15: Thriving in the Classroom: Handling Challenges
- Nov. 5: Thriving in Research and Creative Work: Resources to Support You as a Scholar
Spring 2026:
- Jan. 21: Thriving as a Mentor: Supporting our Students
- Feb. 13: Thriving in Community: Identities on Campus
- Mar. 11: Thriving in Community and Leadership
- Apri. 1: Thriving in Wellness: Resources to Support You
These sessions are not recorded to create a comfortable environment for open, candid discussions and engagement.
