Deming Center for Entrepreneurship hosts Southern Ute Indian Tribe for Rural Colorado Workshop series.

Entrepreneurship is poppin’ in Southwest Colorado! We hosted the big finale of our Rural Colorado Workshop Series this past weekend in collaboration with the Southern Ute Indian Tribe.
We commit five years to each rural region to help communities start and grow ventures and inject innovation into the ecosystem. We’ve helped nearly 100 entrepreneurs within the tribal community over the past five years. And the big finale was simply electric! Concepts ranged from a farm stand to an advocacy & healing program to a pet swapping platform to a horse boarding service . And as part of our big finale, we’re going to award $1,000 to these ventures! Each attendee has an opportunity to create a video pitch and be awarded $200. They can use this money in whatever way is helpful. Even if it’s treating themselves to a nice dinner! It’s been an amazing five years. Huge shoutout to my co-teacher for this region, Eric Bruno. His authentic enthusiasm to give back is infectious. And to our amazing community partner, Southern Ute Indian Tribe. We can’t wait to see this region of our state flourish!
