Fly Fishing & Backpacking

Join us for an multi-night fly fishing and camping adventure. Hike to your campsite in Rocky Mountain National Park, where you will learn the basics of fly fishing, and enjoy 2 nights under the stars. No previous backpacking or fly fishing experience required. Course fee includes all backpacking and fly fishing equipment, food and transportation.

Requirements:Ìý

  • Participants must be able to carry a 40 lb pack on uneven terrain up to 5 miles and be able to sleep in a tent. 
  • Participants must purchase their own fishing license (approximately $12)

Time: 7 a.m. Saturday- 4 p.m. Monday

Rocky Mountain National Park Fly Fishing

This course will cover the basics of fly fishing including casting, tying knots and bringing a fish in. Instruction includes a classroom session to learn basic skills and a field day to practice on the water. Course fee includes all equipment and instruction. Transportation will be provided.

Requirements: Participants must purchase their own fishing license (approximately $12) and pack their own lunch. Participants must also be able to carry a 20 lb. pack while hiking up to two miles per day on rocky and variable terrain.
