Scuba

Scuba courses are available to allÌýRecreation Center Members (with a minimum of a month long membership; trial memberships excluded). For safety reasons, participants must be meet the following requirements:Ìý
- Must have basic swimming skills and be able to swim 200 yards using strokes other than the doggie paddle.
- Must be able to hold your breath under water.
- If you haveÌýepilepsy and asthma you will not be able to participate without a physician's note.

- All diving equipment is provided
- Bring a swimsuit, T-shirt, socks for the pool, plus paper and a pen
- You’ll need to pass a swim test (200 yards, no doggy paddle!) either at orientation or on the first day of class
- Saturday, Oct. 4 | 9:30–11 a.m.
- Meet your instructors, get your questions answered and complete the required swim test
- Must be a Rec Center member
- Basic swimming skills required
- Medical history form required
- If you have epilepsy or asthma, a physician’s note is needed to participate
Classes will meet at the Outdoor Pursuits classroom to start each day.
