Note: One of our current initiatives is reviewing the university’s most used reports to identify enhancement opportunities and deliver meaningful performance improvements. Our next major effort will focus on the Layer 3 report within the New Student Dashboard. We will be surveying users of this dashboard in October/November.ÌýÌý
College of Engineering ReportsÌý
Academic Standing ReportÌý
Several improvements have been made to enhance clarity, performance and usability:Ìý
- Academic Standing Report_upd Sep2020_Base Report renamed Academic Standing Report for consistency and ease of use.Ìý
- Runtime reduced from approximately 10-15 minutes to under three minutes.Ìý
- Removed the current term (2267) from reporting since academic standing is assigned at the end of a term and current-term data could be misleading.Ìý
- Defaulted the report to engineering students and removed the program prompt, as this report is used exclusively by the College of Engineering.Ìý
- Removed unused attributes, including BLD3 and address-related fields.Ìý
- Added PBLD and PEFG student group indicators using student group start and end dates.Ìý
- Added filtering to display only students with an academic standing code for the selected term, while also displaying academic standing history for the previous four terms.Ìý
Engineering Student Profile Report EnhancementsÌý
The Engineering Student Profile report received significant enhancements:Ìý
- Updated the base query to use the current program/plan stack rather than term-start data.Ìý
- Removed unused attributes, including high school information.Ìý
- Added the primary advisor associated with Major 1.Ìý
- Added Subplan and Admit Type fields.Ìý
The College of Engineering and Applied Sciences reported these performance improvements dramatically reduced runtime to under two minutes —andÌýoften under 30 seconds depending on the filters—and eliminated timeout issues. Previously, runtime was 45 minutes or more, with frequent timeouts.ÌýÌý
The BI Development team is also collaborating with CEAS to inventory additional reports for enhancement opportunities and possible consolidation.Ìý

Diploma Order Report – CertificatesÌý
Enhancements have been made to improve certificate reporting accuracy:Ìý
- Added logic to properly account for degrees with multiple certificates nested under a single degree.Ìý
- Updated school/college assignment logic when academic owner data from Campus Solutions is not populated. The following default mappings are now applied:Ìý
- CRTGE, CRTGA, CRTGC, CRTGM, CRTGI, CRTGD → Graduate SchoolÌý
- CRTLW → Law SchoolÌý
- CRTUA → College of Arts and SciencesÌý
- CRTUB → Leeds School of BusinessÌý
- CRTUE → College of Engineering and Applied ScienceÌý
- CRTUM → College of MusicÌý
International Class ScheduleÌý
Several new fields and formatting improvements have been added:Ìý
- Added FERPA consent designated first and last name.Ìý
- Added Org Code and CU ORG Codes.Ìý
- Meeting Start Time, Meeting End Time and Run Date now display in a standardized date/time format.Ìý
- Updated FERPA Consent Expiration Date logic to display blank values when source dates contain placeholder values (09/09/9999 or 01/01/1900).Ìý
FERPA Consent ReportÌý
To simplify processing for ERS staff:Ìý
- Users can now copy and paste a list of Student IDs directly into the report instead of uploading an Excel file.Ìý
- Updated FERPA Consent Expiration Date logic to suppress placeholder dates (09/09/9999 and 01/01/1900).Ìý
