As a department, we strive to provide the highest quality care. Therefore, we provide complimentary one-on-one and group trainings on a variety of techniques and procedures to all staff working within our vivaria.
OAR Rodent Handling and Euthanasia Training
In this training you will learn how to properly restrain mice and rats, perform CO2 euthanasia, and perform common secondary euthanasia methods. The training is intended to help both those who are new to rodent handling and those who could use a refresher on best practices.ÌýThis training is forÌýapproved research personnel on an IACUC protocol that have completed a vivarium tour and have facility accessÌýand can be scheduled on an as-needed basis by emailing the vet team.
