Student Academy of Audiology (SAA)

A student voice for the future of audiology.

Founded in 2009, the Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) is a student-led, pre-professional organization for undergraduate and graduate students interested in pursuing careers in audiology. SAA represents the collective student voice and works to advance the rights, interests, and welfare of students from all backgrounds.

Through SAA, students can promote and advance the profession of audiology while building leadership and advocacy skills.

The University of Colorado Boulder SAA Chapter is a recognized student organization within the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences (SLHS) Department.

The mission of the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ SAA chapter is to serve as a collective voice for undergraduate and graduate students interested in audiology while supporting education, advocacy, and professional development.

Chapter Highlights

  • National recognition as a Student Academy of Audiology Chapter Challenge Champion for Education and Advocacy
  • Recipient of the Humanitarian, Education, and Awareness Resources (HEAR) Grant
    • Supported education on noise-induced hearing loss
    • Funded the chapter’s earplug program
  • Monthly meetings during the fall and spring semesters
  • Regular social and educational events

Meetings & Getting Involved

ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½Æƽâ°æÏÂÔØ SAA meets once a month during the fall and spring semesters. Students are encouraged to attend meetings, participate in events, and connect with fellow audiology students.
