Impact Areas
Research across the RASEI community includes impacts across the entire energy continuum, from how we generate clean and renewable energy, through how we transmit and store electricity, how we use energy in a more efficient and conscientious manner, to how energy is supplied to different countries and communities.
We describe these different fields as Impact Areas. We use a range of tools to investigate different perspectives across these impact areas (see our Technology Domains section). The nature of the challenges we are investigating in the development of a clean, affordable, and secure energy economy results in projects that employ a suite of tools that are employed across the range of Impact Areas, enabling excellent opportunities for collaboration and problem solving amongst the RASEI members.
By bringing together investigators that investigate the energy continuum, RASEI fosters feedback and engagement, which benefits how the entire team approaches solving problems. By promoting discussion between researchers who are exploring different challenges and bring different perspectives, we enhance and improve the way we all think about these problems.
