UROP makes award offers by email. Faculty should be attentive to their awarded grant term, because the timelines differ by term.

Faculty must accept or decline award offers using an online form linked in their decision notice by the deadline posted online.

If faculty opted to have their project posted as an open opportunity, all projects will be released soon after the acceptance deadline.

UROP pays faculty grants by transferring awarded funds directly to recipients near the beginning of the grant term.

Faculty are expected to spend UROP funding according to the budgets outlined in awarded proposals.

The next deadline is February 12, 2027, and will award proposals in Summer 2027 and Academic Year 2027-28. Join the Application Alert List to be notified when applications open.
Developed and hosted in Boulder since 2018, UROP's Sidewalk Symposium invites undergraduates to share their research and creative presentations with chalk on campus walkways. UROP welcomes undergraduates at any stage of their project to participate.
